Acceptance
By creating an account on Foundalaya, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
What Foundalaya is
A community app for founders, mentors, and investors in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. You must be 18 or older to create an account.
Badges
Founder badges are earned, never purchased. Completing your profile does not earn a badge on your profile. "Building" appears as a text label with no tick, and the blue tick is shown only at Traction. Investors and mentors show a tick once we approve their verification application. We will never charge for a badge, and we will never charge to unlock a message. The traction badge means: "This founder has submitted evidence of traction to Foundalaya. Investors should conduct their own diligence." It is not independent verification.
Investors and mentors
Anyone can select "investor" or "mentor" when they sign up, but that account has limited access -- it cannot message founders, appear in our directories, or see private startup details -- until we review and approve its verification application. This review exists specifically to reduce the risk of people falsely posing as investors to contact founders. Approval is not a guarantee of a user's creditworthiness, investment capacity, or professional competence, and members should always do their own diligence before relying on anyone they meet here.
Payments
This version of the app has no paid features. Event tickets and mentor sessions are currently free for everyone. If we introduce paid options in a future release, we will update these terms first, and we will never take a success fee, commission, or carry on any investment made as a result of connections made here.
Your content and conduct
You are responsible for what you post and send. Do not post content that is harassing, fraudulent, or that infringes someone else's rights. We provide a report and block mechanism on posts, comments, profiles, and messages, and may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms.
Account deletion
You may delete your account at any time from Settings. This is a full deletion of your data, not a deactivation -- see our Privacy Policy for exactly what is removed.
Disclaimers
Foundalaya is a platform that helps people connect. We are not an investment adviser, broker, or intermediary. We do not vet the business claims, mentorship advice, or investment suitability of any user, and we are not a party to any deal, session, or agreement you enter into with another member.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.
Changes
We may update these terms and will change the effective date above when we do. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
